Naxx and hatchlings

So last night we ran Naxx with a raiding guild on Murmur we decided to join.. it was a -great- night for me even if the rest of the guild was seek of seeing healing plate. The gloves from Anubrekhan (which I declined because last trip I got the gloves off Razsuvious which are far better imo) the shield from Anubrekhan, the boots from the Harvester, and the shoulders from Grand Widow.... It was a hefty haul. I'm almost completely PVE epic'ed out now between heroics and Naxx. One dissapointing thing to note is the Four Horsemen aren't giving up their loot. We one shot them, but their chest wasn't able to be used yet, evidently the gear for them isn't in yet. The only thing we have left is the Abom wing and we'd have done that too but it was 4 am, and we don't start raiding til 11 pm so we decided to come back for Abom. We ran most of it with just me and a druid healer, was very interesting. I did the large majority of the healing even when we ran 3 healers I did over 45% of the healing, and my overhealing was quite low. Pallie heals on the tank fantastic... on two tanks fantastic thanks to beacon of light.. but raid healing, still pretty rotten. The guild wants Ace to run with us tonight if he can, we need a -good- death knight and Ace is fantastic. So hopefully they'll bring him in as we've been running 5 mans with him every day for like two weeks.

Also: Dragoncave, My eggs have all hatched and so have Taj's! we've got a bundle of little babies to grow up, so don't forget to click and visit them and help them grow. If all you see is fog it means they are hiding for a bit til they're strong enough to be seen without getting sick. And yes, Taj and I both have a guardian hatchling!

Dragons!

I know there are a few of you watching my dragon eggs soooo you may noticed everyone is covered in fog. I've "hidden" my dragons for a bout a day because they have hatched! Unfortunately when they hatched they were not feeling well due to being so popular Soooo I have hidden them for about a day. They are currently cured but for their own sake I'm not going to unhide them until tonight sometime, then you all can see my adorable little hatchlings!

Murmur did come back up last night, yay! We ran heroic utgarde pinnacle.. unfortunately it bugged out and the 3rd boss fell off the keep down to the hillside below and we were totally boned :( Damn its hard healing when everyone is in pure pvp gear, including the tank. ouch! Of course its also difficult when you've never healed before, picking up a healer (especially a class you've not played) at 80... with everyone in pvp gear AND diving into heroics!

And for those of you who don't know yet the majority of PVP gear is no longer epic its blue quality so we struggled quite a bit lol. Anyway its quite fun.. and Ryan bring Jason and come play with us!

Mystaellen

So, when I moved to Northrend I had already used the Ivymyst name for my death knight. This left me with the dilemma of what to call my hunter. Before I moved my hunter to ED her name was Mystaellen on Gorgonnash, so now she is Mystaellen again. I took her out today and released all her pre-wotlk pets in order to give new ones a try. I caught her:

a wasp (Blacksting--Zangarmarsh unique skinned, orange wasp)
a moth (Shimmerwing Moth--Netherstorm)
a corehound (The Kurken--Azuremyst Isle)
a rhino (Wooly Rhino Bull--Borean Tundra)

So far right off the bat I'm not a fan of the wasp. The wasp looks AMAZING but the sound file associated with it drives me insane. Its a constant loud insect buzzing. Horrible. The moth, I absolutely love.

The moth is quiet, quick, and lovely. I haven't combat tested the moth enough to solidify and opinion on its use yet.

The corehound is wonderful. The corehound looks and sounds amazing. The corehound does large, quick damage and decimates its target. On the downside the corehound has very serious movement problems. At the moment the corehound not only lags behind the hunter when walking, but keeps that slow moving speed when going for its target. In addition to the speed the corehound "jumps" have you ever put a person on an epic mount on follow behind a non epic mount? That constant, starting, stopping, boomeraning is what the corehound does only to an even MORE extreme amount. This definitely has to be fixed.

The rhino so far I'm a fan of. Ripping aggro off my rhino is nearly impossible, the rhino stampede skill is amazing and his ability to AOE tank when skilled properly is wonderful as well. I am looking forward to trying out the rhino in an instance as a tank. Supposedly the tanking pets will be able to OT very very well and "should" be able to main tank a non heroic instance. We'll see.

I -thought- I wanted to play my death knight in wotlk live... but seeing Taj play a prot warrior last night, I'm having second thoughts. I LOVE my death knight but pre-bc prot warrior is my favorite.. it simply doesn't exist in live anymore. WotLK is the rebirth of the prot warrior.. wotlk brings pre-bc prot warrior back only better... Taj and I BOTH are considering playing our prot warriors.. it would be pretty epic to fight along side him both as raid tanks... its very very tempting.

And allergies suck.

Its is.. AWESOME

Kaet lol yea I -might- be excited. Ryan.. you HAVE to come play with us, FIX your computer.

Yes it has its issues, and its bugs.. but WotLK is amazing. I am well and truly impressed. The DK start zone is spectacular. The quests there are amazing.. the storyline will rock your world and blow your mind. They have some.. issues though, the DKs were OP originally so they've been massively reworked and now nerfed into oblivion.. they have a new round of adjustments coming, I hope they fix them. As it stands their concept, storyline and execution is great, but their damage has been nerfed enough to make them iffy. They just need a bit of a readjustment.

My current 70's have not transferred yet so I haven't gotten to try leveling or questing in the low zones but my PVP level 80's did transfer. Tonight, I played a paladin! I specced holy, taj specced his warrior prot and we destroyed Stratholme.. We fought alongside Arthas.. he tanked, I healed and we had 0 deaths.. not bad for someone who has NEVER healed before! I will say I was dissapointed in The Culling of Stratholme though.. they have been hyping it as such a moral compass... an epic story... burning the infected innocents of Stratholme.. and it wasn't.

***********SPOILER INCOMING***********
**************************************

You never truly burn Stratholme.. it just sorta starts burning on its own. You only kill citizens that have already been turned... Even the final bossfight is nowhere near as exciting as Baron was.. basically it feels a lot like running the old Strat again, I was horribly dissapointed.

Beta, Wotlk and Cinematics!

Sooo Taj got a beta invite! I sit here and drool over his shoulder and whimper wishing to hell I'd gotten one rofl. The Death Knight area is amazing... the storyline and the quests are beyond words. I am completely impressed with the new style quests and VERY excited over a dynamic world. I can only hope that they carry the dynamic world throughout Northrend... Seeing the world change drastically is amazing... I doubt though we will see that as it would be a huge undertaking.

Also on the Beta note, Blizz released the opening cinematic today Its Amazing plain and simple it made me shiver. When he raises the dead dragon into a frost wyrm? Whooo... my enjoyment of wow has been renewed, I wish I had a beta key and wasn't living it over Taj's shoulder lol. I will say so far watching Taj has made us both realize we WILL be playing WOTLK.
