Without Dark You Cannot Have Light

So, when I moved to Northrend I had already used the Ivymyst name for my death knight. This left me with the dilemma of what to call my hunter. Before I moved my hunter to ED her name was Mystaellen on Gorgonnash, so now she is Mystaellen again. I took her out today and released all her pre-wotlk pets in order to give new ones a try. I caught her:

a wasp (Blacksting--Zangarmarsh unique skinned, orange wasp)
a moth (Shimmerwing Moth--Netherstorm)
a corehound (The Kurken--Azuremyst Isle)
a rhino (Wooly Rhino Bull--Borean Tundra)

So far right off the bat I'm not a fan of the wasp. The wasp looks AMAZING but the sound file associated with it drives me insane. Its a constant loud insect buzzing. Horrible. The moth, I absolutely love.

The moth is quiet, quick, and lovely. I haven't combat tested the moth enough to solidify and opinion on its use yet.

The corehound is wonderful. The corehound looks and sounds amazing. The corehound does large, quick damage and decimates its target. On the downside the corehound has very serious movement problems. At the moment the corehound not only lags behind the hunter when walking, but keeps that slow moving speed when going for its target. In addition to the speed the corehound "jumps" have you ever put a person on an epic mount on follow behind a non epic mount? That constant, starting, stopping, boomeraning is what the corehound does only to an even MORE extreme amount. This definitely has to be fixed.

The rhino so far I'm a fan of. Ripping aggro off my rhino is nearly impossible, the rhino stampede skill is amazing and his ability to AOE tank when skilled properly is wonderful as well. I am looking forward to trying out the rhino in an instance as a tank. Supposedly the tanking pets will be able to OT very very well and "should" be able to main tank a non heroic instance. We'll see.

I -thought- I wanted to play my death knight in wotlk live... but seeing Taj play a prot warrior last night, I'm having second thoughts. I LOVE my death knight but pre-bc prot warrior is my favorite.. it simply doesn't exist in live anymore. WotLK is the rebirth of the prot warrior.. wotlk brings pre-bc prot warrior back only better... Taj and I BOTH are considering playing our prot warriors.. it would be pretty epic to fight along side him both as raid tanks... its very very tempting.



And allergies suck.

So as of last night there's some very big potential news in our household... Both my parents and Taj and I are starting the beginning stages of planning a "potential" move to San Diego next year! Nothing is certain yet we're still in the deciding/talking stages but its still scary and exciting. I'm a rural small town girl.. I grew up in the Ozarks and in Rural Jeff County.. Just moving closer to the city where we are now scared the bejeebus outta me.. I've lived in Missouri my entire life, I'm told I have a helluva a southern accent (especially when agitated lol) and moving to San Diego is scarrrryyyy.

I love the ocean.. and I loved San Diego very much, I could be happy there but there is a lot to consider. The logistics of moving 3 dogs(Mom has 2, we have 1) 3 cats( we have 2 mom has 1) a 55 gallon tropical tank (moms), a Rift Tank (ours), and 1 guinea pig all from two households will be hell on earth... My head hurts just thinking about it. There is also something else to consider that is a bit, different. My dad's grave is here... my mom's parent's graves are here, and our puppy and kitty graves are here. All the graves are in sanctioned cemeteries so they would be safe even if we move but its still hard to move away from something like that. Also while my mom is tremendously excited about maybe moving to CA my dad (my step-dad that is) is reluctant because his son and grandson are in Missouri... BUT ffs he almost never visits dad.... like once every month or 2 at best! As little as he visits and as much money as he has.... he could just fly to CA to see Dad.. so we're working on convincing him.

We've found some beautiful homes for sale in great price ranges... Mom is sad we're not moving tomorrow as she found a gorgeous house with step in whirlpool tub, large master bedroom, 5 skylights, citrus trees in the backyard and granite counter tops... all at a price she could pay cash for after selling her house here... which would make life so much more comfortable. Its interesting... mobile homes here are "Trailer trash" they have a negative connotation, are considered trashy.. and of course are very dangerous (Tornadoes and floods.) In California though, mobile homes are a whole different breed, first they don't look like trailers.. more "modular homes" than anything... They are immensely gorgeous inside and they are accepted normal places to live due to the insane cost of land in San Diego in fact.. many extremely rich people have mobile homes costing millions.. its nuts... Its hard for me to wrap my mind around it considering where I'm from lol.

That said... Last night Taj and pulled Trylane and Gudbrand the Warlock and Priest outta the closet.. holy hell it was fun! I haven't played Trylane since the first week of BC... she is level 62 in her naxx/bwl/aq40 gear.. I stopped playing her because of the memories of my fucking bastard ex. With Taj's help though he has been locked almost entirely into a skeleton closet and I was able to pull her out and have FUN on her... Definitely cool.. I think I'll get her to 70 before the expansion.. then I'll have four 70's to choose from other than my death knight... Mage, Hunter, Warrior, Warlock.
