Without Dark You Cannot Have Light

So, I received complaints via either email, comment, or PM from 3 people I don't know and one person I do know. What were these complaints on? My not putting Obama's speech behind an LJ cut. Rather than rant to each person individually (And 3 of you I could care less about) I'll rant here, why? Because its MY LJ.

This is MY LJ. This is MY LJ. This is MY LJ. I post music here, I post writings here, I post poetry here, I post updates to friends here, I post silly stuff, I post serious stuff, I post my thoughts, I post my feelings. This is MY LJ. If I feel something is important, then I put it in my LJ. This is an online journal, and it is my journal. This is not a community I belong to, this is not a message board, this isn't mass emailed. No one, at all is forced to read MY journal, ever.

It is NOT "bad form" "fucking rude" "bad etiquette" "disrespectful" or any combination of some of the very nasty insults I received, to post what I want here. NO ONE has to read this. If a post in this journal is too long for your friends list (reminder: 3 of you I don't even fucking know) then too fucking bad. If YOU can't show YOUR "friend" some fucking respect by respecting their wishes, then fuck you. If I put some super long super silly post without an LJ cut, I'm sorry, and feel free to poke me. If I feel something is important or serious, and I'm posting it in my Journal without an LJ cut then I'm sorry it bothers you, but I'm posting it anyway.

I don't feel bad. I didn't disrespect anyone. I didn't forget my etiquette. I didn't do anything other than add something to my personal journal that meant a lot to me. Thank you though, for not caring about MY feelings, thank you for being a dick to ME, and thank you for caring more about having scroll through you're stupid optional page, than about what was important to ME to put uncut in MY OWN JOURNAL.
